Nancy Pelosi was born March 26, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland. There is no known time of birth so for the purpose of this article we will be using her Moon as the Ascendant. She has been in the news a lot with everything that has been going on this year. Let’s take a look at what her chart says about her.
As a reminder we will be using the Moon as her Ascendant. Her Moon is in Libra making Libra her first house. We will then count in a clockwise motion continuing on through house twelve which will be Virgo.
The Moon being placed in Libra gives a diplomatic, persuasive and smooth ability when it comes to interacting with others. It can make her not want to hurt others feelings and be accommodating to other’s needs. It can help her acquire good wealth. On the other side of the coin it can make her someone who can be a manipulator. Her life can be one that has unpredictable turns and events with constant changes in her daily activities. She may be prone to restless sleep and have the potential for migraines or back problems.
Mercury is in the 5th house from the Moon in Aquarius. With this placement, she has the capacity to look at things in a new way, she’s intellectual, educated and a hard worker. She can be a micromanager who can be stuck in the details and loses track of the big picture. She has a need to express information and teach others, being a good storyteller. She is refined, with good organizing skills and competitive with games and intellectual challenges. She likely has a sense of humor. She can, however, be good at scheming. She may not correctly set up business transactions or contracts and agreements. She could have some trouble with foreign business transactions.
Nancy has the Sun, Jupiter and Ketu all in her sixth house from the Moon in Pisces. With the Sun in Pisces she can be more idealistic and a dreamer. She can be a popular leader. Sun in the sixth says that she can work in large corporations or the government (yes, she does). She has a desire to purify or improve the people and processes around her. She does have a side that can be someone who attacks others. Jupiter is at home in its own sign which says that Nancy can have well developed finances and a good family life with prosperous children. She can be astute at handling people. She does need to be aware that she has a tendency to be easily impressed or taken in by over the top schemes. She earns through service and faces problems with optimism. She can be very clever at protecting her interests and can be a strong power broker. Jupiter being ruler of the fifth in the fifth house can make her someone who can be good at weighing the pros and the cons of situations but it can also make her clever at deceiving people whether it be by lying, understating or withholding information.
In her seventh house of Aries she has Saturn and Venus. Two big things to note are that her Saturn is debilitated in Aries. While not at the exact degree of debilitation her Saturn is weaker because of this. Venus and Uranus are the exact same degree of 26 degrees. While we don’t normally use the outer planets, when they are exact like in her chart, they will have an impact. Saturn says that she may be faced with delays yet still want to accomplish things quickly. She can be cruel and impatient. She can be detached in decision making and form unemotional relationships with others. Her relationships will get better and build over time. She can be deceptive and understate the true ramifications of situations. Venus in the seventh can make her idealistic as well. It allows her the ability to relate to anybody about anything. She can attract a good marriage partner and gain from marriage. With the Uranus conjunction it can be unexpected and erratic at times. With the skill of relating to people she has the ability to make people feel they truly know her and can relate to her. But she can also give in to please others. Saturn in the seventh can give a long-term marriage. She and her husband have been married since September 7, 1963 – 56 years of marriage.
Nancy has Mars in Taurus in the eighth house from the Moon. This placement can give her a youthful disposition. She can be charming and persuasive. She may enjoy music and dancing. She can be a good salesperson and quick acting. However, she could be self-serving and wasteful with resources, overspending money. She can be involved in hidden matters, research or spying. She could be prone to scandals and reckless with money. She may get money through inheritance or insurance policies. But, she could live off the graces of others and be deceptive.
Lastly, her Rahu is in Virgo in the twelfth house from her Moon. She may need her alone time to get her energy back and rebalance herself. She can think in unusual or creative ways and can be resourceful. She wants to help those in need. Yet, she could be conflicting and combative. She may do a lot of work in secret or in confidence and could, at times, be disconnected from reality.
When we look at her chart we see that Mars and Venus switch signs and are in each other’s signs of rulership. This is called Parivartana. This coupling of houses means that when one planet is activated by a dasha or bhukti or if a planet transits one of them it will also activate the energy of the other. She is currently in her Venus Dasha which is activating her seventh house of relationships whether it be business or personal ones. This is made even stronger by the fact that she is in her Saturn Bhukti or sub-dasha. With both Venus and Saturn in the same house it deals with relationships even more strongly but also can be about her relationship with herself. She will be in this period until November 8, 2024.
