Britney Spears known as the “Princess of Pop” is now popping up again in headlines as she weds her fiancé Sam Asghari on Thursday June 9. She has had a long running career with its ups and downs. She was placed under a conservatorship in January 2008 and on November 12, 2021 her conservatorship finally came to an end. This was a turning point for Britney as she was able to begin living her life without constraints again. Britney was born on December 2, 1981 at 1:30am in McComb, Mississippi.
When we see a big event in a person’s life like a wedding, we can look to their chart to see what the triggers are. Let’s take a look at the transits on the day of her wedding to see what was happening. Jupiter the planet the grants opportunities was transiting Pisces her 7th house of relationships. Transiting Jupiter was aspecting the 7th house from her Moon (Chandra) Lagna of Cancer. Transiting Mars was in Pisces aspecting her natal Jupiter in Libra by its eighth aspect. This seems to be a prominent aspect at the time of marriage in a women’s chart. Britney is in her Jupiter Maha Dasha and this creates another positive indication for marriage as Jupiter rules her 7th house of relationships. Jupiter also rules the 1st house of her Navamsha, D-9, chart which is another indication for marriage potential. Rahu can expand and bring our desires to us. On her wedding day transiting Rahu was opposite her natal Jupiter, ruler of her 7th house. With her chart having this many positive aspects we can see how this was a strong time for her to get married.
What is also interesting about Britney’s chart is that she has her natal Saturn in her first house. This means that Saturn is sending its energy to her 7th house by opposition and can give her potential for a long last marriage.
Let’s take a quick high-level look at what else her chart indicates. As a singer and actress, we want to look to the first, second, third and fifth houses. When we look at her chart, we see that these four houses all have planets living in them.
The first thing I immediately see in her chart is that she has the powerful Kala Sarpa yoga. This will magnify everything else in her chart. This indicates she can be someone who can associate well with people in power and she has the ability to get financial benefits from them. She is someone who is extremely likeable and socially smart. She can be someone who puts on a happy face even when she is sad or angry, not showing her true emotions to those around her. Saturn is in the lunar mansion of Chitra. This indicates she is someone who possesses a natural charisma and who takes care of herself and her appearance. She is someone who would be motivated by opportunities outside her place of birth.
In her second house is Jupiter and this can indicate that a powerful voice can direct and dictate opportunities in her life. It can indicate a voice for singing. She can have a love of art, music and luxury. She likely has strong intuition. She could be prone to legal problems. The ruler of her second house is in her fifth house indicating the ability to make money through entertainment, sports, or various forms of self-expression. Ruler of the seventh in the second can indicate money coming through partnership. Money can come from businesses related to her voice, speech or travel. This can also indicate having more than one marriage. Jupiter is in the lunar mansion Swati. This indicates someone who can have success in the fine arts. It can indicate someone who excels in the fields of music, art and literature. She can be very good at communicating. She is someone who will strive for independence and will make it through anything life throws at her. People can underestimate her and she is more intelligent than she appears. She does need to be cautious as other people may try to take advantage of her.
In her third house she has the Sun and Mercury. Sun in the third house can indicate being a writer which can include books, songs, articles and contracts. She is someone who is drawn to the expressive arts which can include acting, music, dance and drama. It does bring with it the potential for friction with her siblings. It can indicate that she is the youngest sibling or there is an age gap. She and her sister Jamie Lynn are 10 years apart. She can be a good communicator and can be extremely convincing. She can be spirited and passionate with a strong will. With the ruler of her tenth house in her third house it indicates that she can be in a career that involves traveling, writing or sales. Sun and Mercury are in the lunar mansion of Anuradha indicating someone who is outwardly buoyant and fun-loving. She can be popular. She has a strong ability to bounce back from challenges that life throws her way.
Mars in her twelfth house can indicate potential for time spent in confinement (eg. hospitals or imprisonment). She was under a conservatorship for 13 years from 2008 until November 2021. This placement can also make her passionate and give her benefits through traveling. She is someone who likely needs solitude to recoup and reset. She can be competitive and do well before the public. Ruler of the third being in the twelfth can indicate siblings being dependent on her. It can indicate travels to foreign countries and an interest in other cultures.
Britney has a couple key yogas which are just a joining of planets that bring more insights to her chart. She has a dhana yoga being created by her Moon and Venus conjunction. This is considered the wealth producing yoga. She has what is called an Arista yoga being formed by her Sun and Mercury conjunction.
