Chris Daughtry was born on December 26, 1979. I found a birth time of 5:30 am in McLeansville, North Carolina. While it is not a fully confirmed time of birth, I do believe the chart works really well for his life. Daughtry is a singer, songwriter and actor. He formed the band Daughtry after placing fourth on the fifth season of American Idol. He has been in the news for the recent death of his daughter.

On November 11, 2000 Chris married his wife, Deanna. On this day Jupiter was transiting in his seventh house of Taurus. Jupiter was sending its energy to the ruler of his seventh house Venus. Mercury is in opposition to his seventh house which is a positive hit. Transiting Saturn was in his seventh house, Taurus. This can indicate a marriage that is based on security. When Jupiter and Saturn both send their energy to a house it becomes a point of manifestation and in this case, it was his seventh house of relationships. He had six key points making this a strong day to get married.
On November 12, 2021 Daughtry’s stepdaughter Hannah died. He had been married to Hannah’s mom since she was 4 years old which really made her feel like a true daughter to Chris. At the time of her death transiting Ketu was sending its energy to the fifth house of children. Ketu can indicate loss among other meanings. Transiting Saturn was at 13 degrees of Capricorn sending its energy exactly to his natal Moon at 13 degrees of Pisces in his fifth house of children. One of Saturn’s meanings can be death. Transiting Saturn was sending an eighth house aspect to his natal Jupiter, an indicator of children, within 3 degrees of exact. Eighth house aspects can be all about transformation and in the extreme cases death. He is currently in his Venus Maha Dasha and Saturn sub-dasha. Transiting Saturn was conjunct his natal Venus activating it. His natal Venus rules his twelfth house of loss. Saturn as the sub-dasha ruler is in the eighth house with Ketu in the D-7 which is the divisional chart for children.
*Note: As an astrologer death is never something I look for in advance in anyone’s chart. I will, however, look at deaths in hindsight to see if there were planets that were being triggered. Just because there were the signatures doesn’t necessarily mean this would be the outcome. This was an extreme example.
