What does his chart show us? What triggered the sudden take off of his career? What triggered his passing in August? Let’s take a look.
As mentioned above Chadwick did not have a known time of birth so I will be using his Moon as his Ascendant to set up his chart. His Moon is in Aquarius which makes his first house Aquarius. This can make him modest and easygoing. He is someone that was likely creative with a desire to fulfill his dreams. He had a humanitarian perspective. He is someone that is more guarded and was known for truly having a desire to keep his private life private. The Moon in this placement can make for hard to diagnose diseases. There is a possibility that before diagnoses they struggled to figure out what was truly going on with him. The ruler of this house is Saturn which goes to his sixth house. This makes him a hard worker who will work long hours, with a respect for discipline that gives him strength. He had a desire to help others and had the ability to deal with opposition and adversity. With the Moon in the lunar mansion of Purva Bhadrapada he had an excellent speaking ability with the ability to sway the masses and really leave a lasting impression.
In his third house, Aries, he has Ketu. Ketu is one of the nodes of the Moon. He is someone that is extremely creative with the ability to think outside the box. He was ready for any adventures or challenges that came his way in life. He truly enjoyed artistic expression and had the gift of being able to make friends with anyone he wanted. Ketu being in Aries can allow him to make sudden changes but it can also create unusual or sudden events in his life. There was likely a lot of change and disruption with constant surprises and unforeseen circumstances. The ruler of his third house is Mars and it goes to his tenth house of career. This can indicate a career in communication or expressive arts. He can travel for work and put a lot of energy and effort in to his career. Ketu is in the lunar mansion of Ashwini which can make him a pioneer in his field. It gives him this true zest and zeal for life but he likely had a stubborn and restless side. He has this natural ability to bring upliftment to others.
In his fourth house, Taurus, is Jupiter. This placement gives him a mother that is more nurturing and protective. A happy home life likely gave him a sense of freedom that allowed him to express himself. This placement can also cause tumors as in cancer. Jupiter being in Taurus can also make him creative but also very knowledgeable. He was likely drawn to more spiritual, humanitarian or philosophic causes. He can get great benefit through using his voice for singing and speaking and can be an excellent storyteller. His earnings would increase through learning and continuing to hone his skills for his craft. This can give him good cash flow from training himself to be better at his skills. One thing to notice here is that Venus as ruler of the fourth is parivartana with Jupiter as ruler of the eleventh. What this means is that they switch signs. This is a powerful connection that basically makes it as if the two planets are in their own signs. When one is activated by a transiting planet the other one will also be activated. Jupiter is in the lunar mansion of Krittika. This makes him very determined and tenacious to achieve his goals and dreams. He was ambitious and proud but could be stubborn at times. This can indicate his ability to rise to places of fame and prominence as well.
In his sixth house, Cancer, is Saturn. He has a strong discipline and high work ethic. Being on time and organized were likely very important to him. He is someone that would persevere to the end. The downside to this placement is the fact that it can indicate Cancer. Saturn and the Moon are also parivartana making them another powerful connection and the planets will again act as if they are in their own sign. This could make the potential for cancer to be even higher. The ruler of the sixth house being in the first made him competitive with an increased ambition to get ahead and improve his life.
In his ninth house, Libra, is Rahu. He likely traveled to exotic locations. He could have had issues with authority figures at times. His father may have been sterner in his approach. The ruler of this house is in the eleventh house. This indicates that connections and blessings will come through friends, groups or organizations. He likely had many good opportunities come his way and could profit from long-distance travel. He was someone who was well respected. Rahu is in the lunar mansion of Swati. This denotes someone that can gain renown and have success in the arts. It gives him a self-determination and he is blessed with the art of communication. He is curious and eager to learn. He was likely very intuitive and strove for independence.
In his tenth house, Scorpio, are Mars, Sun, Mercury and Neptune. This is a lot of energy focused in his career house. Let’s start with Neptune. Neptune represents the film industry and in the tenth shows his career as an actor and producer. Mars being in its own sign can give early career success. He is a leader and self-sufficient. A career in communication can be very good for him with Mercury in his tenth house. The Sun being in the tenth is the best placement for it. This gives him a strong self-esteem and confidence. He is courageous and prominent. He is someone that had a positive, “try anything” attitude with a sharp mind. There may have been times where his mind moved faster than he could get the words out. The ruler of the tenth house is in the tenth house making career success a driving force in his life. He is someone who will be highly respected and honored, becoming famous for his life’s work. He is able to get support and money from others with the ruler of his eighth house in the tenth. He may have met his wife through work and would benefit from traveling to distant locations for his work. Mars and the Sun are in the lunar mansion of Anuradha. He was someone that was outwardly buoyant and fun-loving. He was popular and benefited more living away from his place of birth. He was blessed with many opportunities to travel and had excellent leadership skills. Mercury is in the lunar mansion Jyeshta. He was likely the most successful in his family. He had the ability to build a good support network and had the ability to manifest whatever he focused on. He was very protective of himself and his family.
Finally, in his eleventh house, Sagittarius, is Venus. With this placement success can come easily. He has a natural grace, charm and charisma that draws people to him. Money can come through artistic pursuits. He has a good earning capacity and was likely someone who stayed focused on the bright side of life. Venus is in the lunar mansion of Purva Ashada. This gives him leadership abilities along with a proud and independent nature. It makes him a great orator with the power to influence others.
Let’s look at some events and the transits that may have triggered them. Remember all of this will be using his Moon as his ascendant as he does not have a known time of birth.
On April 12, 2013 the movie 42 was released. This was Chadwick’s breakthrough performance. At that time transiting Jupiter was in Taurus sending its energy by opposition to all the planets in his tenth house of career. This truly lit up his career. On this day transiting Jupiter was at 19 degrees 51 minutes exactly the same degree in opposition to his natal Neptune at 19 degrees 55 minutes. Neptune as the indicator of film and movies was activated by the transiting Jupiter and the opportunities and expansion it provided. He was starting his nodal return and transiting Rahu was conjunct his natal Rahu. This is a period of huge change for people and 42 changed Chadwick’s life and career moving forward. He was in his Mercury Maha Dasha and Rahu Bhukti. Mercury is in his tenth house of career so the focus was on his career and the Rahu sends its energy to his first house expanding who he is. With transiting Rahu sending its energy to his first house on this day it brought him into the spotlight.
Chadwick passed away on August 28, 2020. Transiting Ketu the indicator of loss was sending its energy to his natal Ketu in his third house showing a loss of life force and desire. The pain becoming too immense to handle. It was also sending its energy to his seventh house which is a maraka house, which means killer house. Transiting Sun was in its own sign in the seventh house (a maraka house). Transiting Saturn was strong in its own sign of Capricorn in the twelfth house. Saturn can indicate death and in the twelfth house of death can be another indicator. Transiting Saturn was also sending its energy to his natal Saturn in the sixth house of health. This can show the loss with the battle against Cancer. Transiting Mars was in Aries conjunct his natal Ketu. As ruler of his third house of life force coming together with Ketu, loss, this can also show losing the battle. At this time, he was in his Ketu Maha Dasha.
Chadwick left a lasting impression on many people and has become iconic for his roles. He will not be forgotten and has inspired a whole new generation. Rest in Peace.
