We are beginning the last quarter of 2021. It seems like yesterday that we were beginning the year and then I blinked. It has been a year of ups and downs. We start the month with Mercury retrograde. This is a time when we need to be more aware of what we say and recognize there can be miscommunications, issues with technology and potential for travel delays. Mercury goes direct on October 18. The good news is that both Jupiter and Saturn will be turning direct which will give us more forward movement. Saturn goes direct on October 11 and Jupiter goes direct on October 18. All this forward moving energy will allow us to start feeling less stuck. Mercury is in Virgo all month, its sign of exaltation, making it stronger and better for communication towards the end of the month after it goes direct again. We have a full Moon in Aries on October 20 it is always better to see projects through to completion before the full Moon and not start new ones during its waning phase. Mars moves into Libra on October 21 this can be a time when people feel more energetic and confident. This can also be a transit where some are more impatient.
Aries – There is a strong need to communicate with others. Be sure to listen to all perspectives to get a true understanding and objective viewpoint. Making sure your insurance policies are up-to-date can give you peace of mind. Passions can be higher this month but may not meet your expectations… don’t take it personally. Money could come from others in unexpected ways so just be mindful and open.
Taurus – You’re giving out more love and compassion to the world this month will lead to appreciation from others. Powers of attraction can be strong this month so don’t turn down invitations that you receive. Take the time to capture ideas so you don’t forget them. It’s a great month to write articles or be creative and express yourself. There may be a desire to teach others something new.
Gemini – There is a desire to reconnect to family and spend more time with them. You may find yourself dreaming of better times in the past. Work can bring with it more reading, writing and studies that you need to do in your down time at home. Work is more fun now and you gain the support of others easily. Eating healthy will help you to feel better so cut out the sweets and get out in the fresh air.
Cancer – You can find yourself desiring to be more creative. Writing, drawing, painting, singing or dancing will allow you to feel freer and more open. It can be a good month to get out and date if that is something you are looking to do. Writing down your list of things to do can help free your mind so that you’re not stressing over remembering your to-do list. Learning new things comes easily and it can be a great time to take a short trip, as you feel safe doing so.
Leo – It can be a great month to check in on your budget and get a fresh look at your finances. Make sure you know what you can afford and don’t stray from your budget. It can be a good month to set expectations in love and money with your partner so that no one is caught unaware. It can be a great month to invest in learning new skills to help in your career or future. It can be a month to add more color and character to your home, for example, if painting a room has been on your list, just do it.
Virgo – Art, movies or concerts can be a good escape. A short vacation could bring a much-needed sense of peace and relaxation. You have powerful energy working for you this month as your ruling planet Mercury is at its strongest. Your powers of communication are at their strongest. Use your words to communicate your ideas and for creative self-expression. It’s a great time to learn something new – such as taking on a new skill or taking a class.
Libra – It can feel like your finances are on the upswing. You may even feel lucky. Be clear in expressing your desires so that you ensure you receive the results you desire. Your words will be sweeter this month and will have the ability to touch others. You may have thoughts of old friends who, out of the blue, end up calling or reaching out. It’s a great time to begin processing feelings of the past. Write them down in a journal to really help you process them.
Scorpio – You can find yourself more social this month and talking with friends. Connecting to new groups of people can open your mind. Be sure to listen and hear new ideas. Optimism can bring new gains and prosperity. It can be a good month to update your wardrobe. Getting creative and getting out to galleries, museums or the movies can bring out a new side. Your partner may want to take you out and rekindle the romance… go for it!
Sagittarius – Compassion and love for others will fill your heart. There is a desire to help others that drives you to donate your time or money to charitable organizations. Your sleep will be peaceful this month — refreshing your body and mind. Meetings are necessary at work to maintain open communication. Be adaptable and open to suggestions from others. Business prospects are good so keep an open mind.
Capricorn – Traveling or learning new information will open up a new wave of information that brings changes to your life. Financial gains are the result of recent career success. Friendships bring the connection you feel you have been missing. You may find you are receiving many invites to fun social events and parties, accept as you feel comfortable. Aquarius – Your ability to research and analyze data is far greater this month. Take advantage and don’t let it pass you by. Pisces – A new way of thinking will open you heart. Don’t be afraid of going with the flow of the universe and where it is guiding you. It will never steer you wrong. It may even offer you a new found freedom you didn’t know was possible. You and your partner will be making plans and this is a month where your communication will come more easily and be more open.
