Death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

On April 9, 2021 Prince Philip left this Earth two months shy of is 100th birthday. He had been quoted as saying that he saw no purpose of living past 100. I have found that people will make comments like this because their soul knows when its time will come.

Let’s take a look at what transits triggered his passing.

On the day of his passing transiting Saturn, one indicator of death, was in his second house. The second house is what is known as a maraka house or “killer house”. Saturn also rules his second house making this even stronger. Saturn was sending its energy to his eighth house of death and his natal Moon, ruler of his eighth house. Transiting Ketu, loss, was in his twelfth house of loss and final liberation. This can indicate a freeing from this life and the health issues he was facing. Transiting Ketu was sending its energy to his sixth house of health and his natal Sun as well as his eighth house of death and his natal Moon. Indicating it was time. Transiting Ketu sending its energy to his natal Sun in the sixth house of health can indicate a loss of life force and loss of desire to keep going. Transiting Mars was within a degree of his natal Sun. The Sun is our life force and Mars can indicate that he just didn’t have the energy to keep going as well as potentially indicating that his heart just finally gave up and stopped beating. Transiting Mars was sending its energy to his natal Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter is the ruler of his chart and Saturn rules a maraka house. This can also indicate that his was potentially a heart related death.

At the time of his death Prince Philip was in his Saturn Maha Dasha. In his chart, as mentioned, Saturn was receiving a lot of energy from other planets and it is the ruler of a maraka house or killer house.

Now let’s take a look at his wife Queen Elizabeth’s chart to see if it showed indications of his passing.

Queen Elizabeth just lost her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. While we
can very much see the indications in his chart. (Read Here) We can also see indications in her chart as well for the day of his passing, April 9, 2021. On the day of his death transiting Ketu, loss, was in Scorpio. The key to this is that it was sending its energy to her natal Mercury in Pisces which is the ruler of her seventh house of partnerships, an indicator of Prince Philip in her chart. Transiting Saturn, an indicator of death, was in Capricorn sending its energy to her natal Mercury as well. Between the transits of Ketu and Saturn we see how her chart was impacted based on her natal planet placements. Jupiter can be an indicator of the husband and it is in Capricorn receiving the energy of transiting Saturn by conjunction which can also indicate the loss of her husband on this day. Queen Elizabeth is in her Jupiter Maha Dasha and her Mars sub-dasha period. Her natal Jupiter and Mars are conjunct in Capricorn.

If we rotate Queen Elizabeth’s chart using the seventh house of the partner, Gemini, as the first house we see that transiting Saturn, death, was conjunct the ruler of the sixth house of health, Mars, in the eighth house of death, Capricorn. Transiting Ketu, loss, was conjunct the ruler of the eighth house, Saturn, in the sixth house of health. Transiting Ketu was also sending its energy to the ruler of the first house, Mercury. It was also sending its energy to the twelfth house of final liberation and the second house, maraka or killer house, and ruler of the second house the Moon. Again, the Jupiter-Mars Dasha period is ignited in the eighth house of death. So even when we flip her chart to read it as his we can see the indications of his death.

Lastly, I want to take a quick look at their eldest child’s chart, Prince Charles, to see if we see indications of his father’s death.

At the time of Prince Philips death transiting Saturn, death, was sending its energy to the ninth house of the father. Transiting Saturn was also sending its energy to the fourth house and his natal Sun and indicator of the father as well. Transiting Ketu, loss, was also sending its energy to the ninth house of the father. Transiting Mars in Taurus was sending its energy to his natal Jupiter, ruler of the ninth house of the father. This can indicate his passing due to heart related issues. Charles is also in his Jupiter Maha Dasha and since Jupiter rules the ninth house of the father this brings this more to the forefront as a potential focus.

Let’s also flip Charles’ chart making his ninth house of the father, Pisces, the first house and read it as Philips’s chart. Transiting Ketu, loss, in Scorpio was sending its energy to the first house. Transiting Saturn, in Capricorn, was also sending its energy to the first house. It was also sending its energy to the eighth house of death and the three natal planets there Ketu, Sun and Mercury. Mercury rules the seventh, making it a maraka planet, and it is parivartana the ruler of the eighth house Venus making these two planets as if they were in their own sign so this makes them even stronger as indicators when things hit them. Again, we see the power of being able to read someone else through a person’s birth chart.

It is amazing how when looking at all three charts that there were indications of death for Prince Philip. First from looking at his chart of who he is; second from looking at his wife’s chart; and third from looking at his eldest son’s chart.
