Roy’s Ascendant is in Cancer as is his Rahu (one of the two nodes of the Moon). With Rahu in his first house of Cancer he can benefit by living in a foreign country and working with foreigners. He enjoyed learning unconventional subjects and may have used cosmetics and surgery to modify or improve his appearance. He could have a more mystical disposition and likely focused on developing his personal power and wealth. He had the potential to get diseases that confused doctors as well as being prone to unusual accidents. The ruler of his first house goes to his tenth house of career making his focus throughout his life his career. The Moon as the ruler of his first in his tenth house can indicate that he would be famous and well known in his chosen profession. His Ascendant is in the lunar mansion of Pushya which made him someone that would come strongly to the defense of someone or something he believed in.

His second house is Leo. He has Jupiter here. This indicates that he can be prosperous, good with languages, humorous and very giving. The Sun rules his second house and goes to the third house. This shows he could make money through his own efforts. He was courageous, adventurous and that he could benefit through artistic expression and through the use of his voice. Jupiter rules both the sixth house and ninth house indicating that his voice could carry influence and that through hard work and perseverance he could make money. Venus also rules his eleventh house of great gains and since it is in its own sign in an angle that makes his potential for great gains throughout his career very good.

He could be prone to ailments with the nervous system as well as paralysis. This can be a rough placement as he could lose his freedom through hospitalizations. Saturn is in the lunar mansion of Ardra which is symbolized as a tear drop.

Let’s take a look at a few events in his life.

Roy was born in his Ketu Dasha. This is known to be one of the harder dashas. He was born towards the very end of World War II in Germany on a night when bombs were exploding all around his mother in their small town of Nordenham.

One of the biggest events that changed Roy’s life was October 3, 2003 when he was attacked by Montecore a seven-year-old white tiger. At this time Mars was transiting his eighth house. This is a time when risk-taking is not advised and he could appear weak to others inviting aggression. This is a time when health issues can surface. Articles discuss the fact he had a stroke at some point before or during the attack. He was in the dasha of Rahu-Moon which is a period when you can become more paranoid. Transiting Rahu was in the same house as his natal Moon which can indicate a time to pay attention to your personal safety and well-being. This can be a time of scandal. Transiting Saturn was within a degree of his natal Saturn in his twelfth house indicating the potential for time spent in confinement in hospitals. Transiting Moon likely triggered the attack as it was in his sixth house of accidents.

Roy passed away from complications from COVID-19 on May 8, 2020. At this time, he was in Jupiter-Rahu dasha. Jupiter is located in a maraka house or killer house. As mentioned earlier Rahu in his first can indicated a disease that confuses doctors. As of this writing there are still so many questions related to COVID-19. Transiting Saturn was in his seventh house, another maraka house, sending its energy to his first house. Saturn can represent death. Transiting Saturn had just passed over his natal Ketu which represents loss. Transiting Ketu, indicator of viruses, was in his sixth house of health which could show the loss of fighting the battle against the disease when his health was already compromised. Transiting Rahu was in his twelfth house and can represent death and endings as well. Mars was transiting his eighth house with Neptune transiting there as well. Mars can be a trigger and Neptune is ruler of epidemics/ pandemics.

Roy had a great love of animals and was an innovator of his time. He was successful in business and was well known around the world. We can see from his chart that it was all there.
