His Royal Highness Prince Charles, born Charles Philip Arthur George on November 14, 1948 at 9:14pm in London, England. The Prince of Wales has been in the media some with his son Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, stepping down as a senior member of the royal family but he is also slowly being handed more responsibilities as his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, slowly steps back from public life. He was married to Princess Diana and is currently married to his longtime love Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. He is the longest serving heir apparent in British History. Queen Elizabeth II has the capability to live a very long life and she is proving her birth chart accurate (Click here to read hers).
Let’s take a look and see what we can see in his chart.
Charles has his Ascendant in Cancer. This means that the ruler of his Ascendant is the Moon. This makes him a more sensitive and feeling individual. His Moon goes to his tenth house of career which becomes his focus throughout life. His Ascendant is in the lunar mansion (nakshatra) of Pushya. This makes his intelligent, independent, self-sufficient, interested in humanitarian activities and can make him a good public servant. He is interested in and knowledgeable in many areas but because of this he never becomes great at any one thing. He can earn a good living.
In his second house of Leo he has Saturn. This makes him dependable and hardworking. His life will get better through the experiences he has and that is how he will learn and grow. He is able to be of good service to others. However, this placement can create some problems with his father, Prince Philip, and there have always been rumors about their relationship being more contentious. Saturn in his second house of money would mean that he will accumulate wealth over time through hard work and that it comes from older, more traditional sources. A lot of his money is in land (between agriculture and commercial properties). As he ages, this placement could give him a dry and more wrinkled face. Saturn is in the lunar mansion of Magha. This is considered the lunar mansion of Kings. He is someone who honors tradition and will adhere to the chain of command. He is big-hearted and has a respect for educators. This placement can also make him prone to being involved with affairs if he feels unloved by his partner. Added to this is the fact that Saturn rules his seventh house of relationships.
With the ruler of his seventh house in his second house, money can come through partnerships and he can be in businesses related to speech and travel. This can indicate more than one marriage (which we know he is on his second marriage now). A marriage partner could have eating problems. Diana had talked about having issues with eating disorders. Saturn also rules his eight house which means that he can accumulate money from unearned sources such as wills.
In his third house of Virgo, he has Venus. Venus is debilitated or at its weakest in Virgo. He can be a good communicator who travels for short periods. He can be dominated by loved ones and his spouse could be overly motivated. He can be unpretentious and unassuming. He is of service. Venus is in the lunar mansion of Hasta which gives him intelligence, the ability to weigh his words to avoid expressing anger and the understanding of social rituals and courtesies. He has the ability to see and take advantage of opportunities that may present themselves in new areas.
His fourth house is Libra which has the Sun, Mercury and Ketu (one of the nodes of the Moon) With this we see that he was born just after a total solar eclipse that occurred on November 1, 1948. The Sun is at its weakest in Libra but since it is at 29 degrees it may not be as weak. This can make Charles charming and attractive as a partner but it may mean that he is not as great once married. He may not always be as up-front and has the potential to avoid responsibilities. He may have done this in his early years before marrying Diana. He can be active in matters related to homes or education. He has a bunch of real estate. He could have issues with his mother though because both the Sun and the ruler of the fourth house Venus are both debilitated. It can also indicate that is father was more absent from his childhood. With Mercury here he learns through books and knowledge. He was the first heir apparent to earn a university degree when he graduated from Cambridge in June of 1970. He is devoted to his family and can have a good sense of humor. We saw the devotion to his sons when their mother, Princess Diana, was killed in a car crash in Paris in August 1997. He stuck by their sides to help them through the tragedy and help them as they grew up. Ketu in the fourth house can indicate that he was separated more from his mother in his early years. He has the capacity to adjust to changes in domestic life.
His fifth house is Scorpio and he has Mars located here. Mars is in its own sign so this is a good position. This gives him quick reflexes both physically and mentally. He can be very persuasive and charming. He has active children. It can lead to broken romances and the potential for problems with children. He has had to deal with some issues. Charles has the capacity to solve problems quickly making quick decisions. He has a sharp mind. He can have a stubborn side.
His sixth house of work is Sagittarius and Jupiter is sitting here. Jupiter is also in its own sign which is good. He is a humanitarian who is cultured and has the ability to inspire and lead others. He will rise to meet his commitments fully and is socially adept to be able to talk with lots of people. He can be a power broker and will earn money through service related fields. He will face problems with optimism which could be both a good and a bad thing. Jupiter is located in the lunar mansion of Mula. This gives him the ability to live a comfortable life with everything he needs. He is learned and determined to succeed. He can be a politician and tactful. He may sometimes tell people what they want to hear instead of being upfront and honest. He could be prone to sabotaging his own love and having affairs or marriages that aren’t successful.
His final house with planets in it is his tenth house of career in Aries. The Moon and Rahu (the other node of the Moon) are located here in the lunar mansion of Ashwini. This can make him very pioneering, intelligent, good finances and have a desire to dress well. He may enjoy horses and has played polo. Since the Moon is a karaka (indicator of) the mother she could have the draw to horses. (Queen Elizabeth is an avid horse woman.) The Moon in the tenth house can make him responsible and supportive. His mother can be prosperous, expanded even more being conjunct (next to) Rahu. He may have a life that has many changes and not fully be sure of his direction or life purpose. He can also have career advancement that is much slower. Has has been heir apparent since his Mom was crowned Queen in 1952. Until the Queen steps down or passes away he will continue in the same position. Rahu can rule foreigners and, in the tenth, can give him success with foreign undertakings. His career and finances will grow over time but he will live in the shadow of another’s success and reputation. He can have good resistance to disease although dry skin and wrinkles can be a problem. With the ruler of his first house, the moon, in his tenth house, he can be a leader who is independent and self-sufficient. He can have good success in his career and can obtain a good reputation. He has good finances and a lot of valuable assets. He was born when the Moon was also almost a full Moon. This means that his Moon is stronger because a full Moon is considered benefic on top of it being the ruler of his chart.
As with any astrology a person does have some free will and they can alter the path they choose to take if they desire.
It will be fascinating as we watch Charles, Prince of Wales’ journey continue unfolding to becoming King of the United Kingdom.

Well done – always fascinates me how much these reflect the person – at least how they have been portrayed.
